There were no fires in Sanford/Springvale during the week. On May 31, Sanford firefighters with Engine 4 provided mutual aid to North Berwick for an early morning structure fire at 64 Portland St.
The Department provided public service at a vaccine clinic on June 1.
Firefighters and EMS responded to a report of a glider crash at Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport on June 5, but no incident was located.
Sanford EMS responded to six motor vehicle accidents during the week. Five had injuries which required assistance. There were 52 additional EMS calls, and one individual who needed a lift assist.
In other incidents that week, a defective elevator fortunately had no occupants. There were two calls dispatched and cancelled en route; and one system malfunction.
