In an effort to encourage adults who have put off getting vaccinated, the state of Maine is offering incentives on a first come, first served basis. The incentives include your choice of a free hunting or fishing license, day passes to Maine state parks, LL Bean gift cards and more. You need to have your first shot between May 11 and May 31 to qualify.
Still have questions about vaccination? Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) will host a COVID-19 vaccine community forum on Wednesday, May 19 at 6pm via ZOOM. The forum will include a short presentation followed by questions and answers from Dr. Michael Albaum, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michael Schmitz, Emergency Physician, and Dr. Margy O’Hare, OB/GYN. This is a chance for the community to ask questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and receive answers in real-time from experts. Community members can submit questions ahead of time by emailing info@smhc.com. Click the ZOOM link below to join the forum on May 19.
