The agenda includes approval of new hires, approval of Data and Imaging Services Agreement for the Probate Department, approval of transfer of forfeiture assets for the Sheriff’s Office, approval of Foundation MOA for the Strategic Planning and Development Center, and other items.
Sam’s Book Club, 5:30 pm, Springvale Library, 443 Main St. How Lucky by Will Leitch is a modern-day mystery set in a southern college town. A missing student and a disabled man who saw too much and can’t speak or walk. It is a captivating story about friendship, dedication, character, and seeing the good in life. A thriller that can be wildly funny at times. Copies are available at the Library. Sam will pick a shortlist of books to choose from for the next discussion. Haven’t finished the book? Medicare Options, Goodall Library, 952 Main St. Each Friday in March, the Southern Maine Agency on Aging will be hosting this program to help navigate Medicare options for people planning for retirement. Drop in anytime between 12:30 and 3:30 pm.
Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Frommie’s Fight, 5:00 – 7:00 pm, New Beginnings Christian Church, 181 Grammar Rd. $8 per person, includes meatballs, spaghetti and sauce, salads, bread, drink and dessert. Kids 6 and under eat free. Proceeds benefit the family of 13-year-old Chace Fromwiller, who is battling a rare form of brain cancer.

District 1 7th and 8th Grade Honors Band and Chorus Festival, 3:00 pm, Sanford Performing Arts Center. Sanford Middle School has six band members and two choir members in the ensembles.
2nd Annual Toss for a Cause Cornhole Tournament, 6:00 pm, Nasson Community Center, 457 Main St. $10 for spectators. Watch 2-person teams compete for cash prizes. The tournament, hosted by the Kiwanis Club, raises money to allow kids to play sports whose families could otherwise not afford it. A 21+ event.
