AWS Presents Furry Tales Story Time, 11:00 am, Goodall Library, 952 Main St. The Animal Welfare Society will visit with a song, a story, and an educational live animal experience. Ages 3 and up.
Winterfest Ice Fishing Derby, 7:30 am to 11:30, Number One Pond. For kids age 15 and under. Join Sanford Parks and Rec along with Doc from the Department of Conservation, the Sanford High School Sportsman’s Club and the Carl J. Lamb PTA for a morning of ice fishing. No fee to sign up. Prizes will be awarded. Traps and bait available on a first come, first served basis. Parents, please come and support your kids at this event.
3rd Annual Al St. Laurent Bowling Tournament, 8:30 – noon, Smitty’s GameLAB, 1327 Main St. Bowling teams are full but please consider attending as a spectator as this fundraiser benefits autism awareness. Smitty’s Bar and Kitchen will be open. There will be toasts to Al, raffles and prizes.
Corner Cupboard, 10:00 am to noon, Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church, 5 Lebanon St. Non-food essential item pantry offering personal care products, paper goods, cleaning supplies, household items and baby needs. All are welcome.
Life of Winter: An Art Exhibition, 4:00-9:00 pm, Nasson Little Theatre. View (and maybe purchase) works by local artists as you enjoy light refreshments, cocktails and music. A free event hosted by the Arts Collaborative of Sanford. The art works exhibited will have mature themes.
13th Annual Square Pond Ice Fishing Derby, 6:00 am – 3:00 pm. Fundraiser hosted by the Sanford Elks Maine Children’ Cancer Program. Registration $20 for adults, $10 for kids age 15 and under.
