The Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Everything in Between, LLC, to Springvale with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Everything In Between provides occupational therapy services to people of all ages and abilities, through individualized, one on one treatment that targets the areas of need for the client to reach their optimal functioning.
Owner and Occupational Therapist, Valerie Grondin, MS, OTR/L, saw the need for OT services in the Sanford/Springvale area and followed her dreams to open a private clinic. After 12 years of working for a local medical facility, she opened her practice at the beginning of the pandemic. Since then, she has expanded to a larger building and hired additional staff as the business continues to grow. Valerie looks forward to giving back to the community where she was raised and currently resides with her husband and two children.
What is Occupational Therapy? An occupation is any task or activity that brings meaning and purpose to an individual’s life. A child’s occupation is play and learning. During pediatric treatments, the child is evaluated as a whole using formal and informal testing techniques. Individualized treatment plans are then developed to help the child meet their goals. With their teenage clients, Everything In Between works on social skills, internet safety, executive functioning, and job skills in addition to checking on full development of gross motor, fine motor, and visual motor skills. With adult clients, they work with upper extremity orthopedic injuries, brain injuries, neuromuscular disorders, ergonomics, wellness development, executive functioning, and job skill training. Examples of diagnoses treated are autism, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, delayed motor skills, sensory processing disorder, coordination disorder, behavioral concerns, concussion, TBI, executive functioning disorders, Parkinson’s, arthritis, upper extremity work injuries, shoulder pain, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, and arm/hand fractures.
Everything in Between, LLC is located at 25 Butler St. in Springvale. Phone (207) 370-1170 or e-mail info@eibtherapy.com for more information, or visit their website at www.eibtherapy.com.
