SHS Sports Recap: 2023-24 Week 5 

By Sam Bonsey, Sanford Schools Communications Coordinator  On Wednesday, October 4, the SHS girls' soccer team battled to a 1-1 double-overtime draw to Falmouth. On Friday, October 6, Annalise Stimmell, Audrey Cote, and Hailey Tarbox each scored two goals as the Spartans beat Biddeford, 8-2.  Brielle Landry and Ava Hudson each added goals for Sanford. By Sam Bonsey The boys' soccer team battled Noble to a 1-1 tie in double-overtime on Tuesday, Sept. 26. Antowayne Chisholm scored Sanford’s lone goal. Goalkeeper Beckett Barlow had nine saves. The girls' soccer team lost 4-2 to Gorham on Wednesday, Sept. 27. Julissa McBarron and Annalise Stimmell scored for the Spartans. By Sam Bonsey, Sanford School Department Communications Coordinator The SHS football team (3-0-1) remained undefeated and in first place in the Class A South Division as they rolled to a 42-6 win over Marshwood on Friday, September 22. Sanford got contributions from several different athletes. Rhylen Avery rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown while Carter Mills ran for two touchdowns. Makai Bougie had two interceptions.
