Memorial Day Schedule at Southern ME Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery

Southern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery will hold its Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 30. Master of Ceremonies Dick Langlais will introduce Chaplain Rob Martin for the opening prayer at 1:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The St. Thomas School choir will sing the National Anthem. Invited guests and Association members will be introduced. Governor Janet Mills will be the first speaker, followed by Mayor Anne-Marie Mastraccio. The keynote speaker will be US Coast Guard Commander Luann Kehlenbach.…

Memorial Day 2022 Activities Planned

The Sanford Veterans Memorial Committee has announced its schedule of Memorial Day activities for Monday, May 30, beginning with wreath laying ceremonies at cemeteries and other locations, and ending with a parade. Committee members will gather at the downtown Dunkin' Donuts at 6:45 a.m., and proceed by car to the following locations in this order, to lay wreaths.
