Military Appreciation Day at the Mainers July 6

On Wednesday, July 6, 2022, the Sanford Mainers will host the veterans and military service members of York County at the annual Military Appreciation Day at Goodall Park in Sanford. American Legion Post #19 assisted by the Amvets and VFW will organize and coordinate the event. SMHC Garden Tour of Sanford/Springvale

Each year, Southern Maine Health Care hosts a garden tour, with proceeds benefiting the hospital's spiritual care program, which serves both patients and care team members. This year the tour will come to Sanford and Springvale on July 2, visiting four gardens here, as well as one in North Berwick. Peace Run to Pass Through Sanford

Press Release The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run, an international torch relay, is back on the road after pausing due to Covid restrictions. A modified route will include passing the Peace Torch along roads in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. Also scheduled are visits to Florida, San Diego, Seattle, Chicago, Indiana and Michigan.
