Kennebunk Savings put a bow on 2021 with $27,000 in donations to area food pantries and meal programs. The Sanford Backpack Program’s Boxes of Joy campaign is well underway, but it’s not too late to get involved. Each box includes 30 items – one for each day of November – and includes special holiday goodies as well as pantry staples and personal care items. Caring Unlimited Wins Competitive Grant for Youth Violence Prevention

U.S. Attorney Darcie N. McElwee announced October 30 that Caring Unlimited, York County’s domestic violence resource center based in Sanford, was recently awarded a $497,000 three-year grant from the Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Consolidated Youth Program. Caring Unlimited’s program was one of only 16 projects selected nationally to receive such a grant.
