Construction trades students receive more than $20K in tools and scholarships Eight Sanford students were among those who received $20,000 in tools and scholarships recently awarded through a partnership between Sanford Regional Technical Center and Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Maine. The Sanford School Committee met February 27, 2023. All members were present at the start of the meeting. Vice Chair Amy Sevigny left part way through the meeting. School Department Proposes 4% Increase

At its meeting on February 27, 2023 Sanford School Committee approved what Superintendent of Schools Matt Nelson described as “a bare bones budget” for fiscal year 2023/24, which will be presented to the City Council on March 7. When the budget was developed in January, School Department administrators had originally proposed a 6.1% increase in spending.
