The Sanford Police are looking for the owner of a dog, described as a dark bulldog, that bit an elderly woman on William Oscar Emery Drive near the dog park on Saturday around 4:00 p.m. They need to ascertain if the dog is up to date on vaccinations, otherwise the bite victim will need to undergo a series of painful rabies shots. Task Force Lending a Hand to Sanford’s Homeless

At the City Council's August 4 meeting, Sanford Police Officer Eric Small spoke about the work that he and Officer Paul Goldsmith are doing with the city's Homeless Task Force. 2 Charged in Family Dollar Burglary

From the Sanford Police Department: On July 17, 2020, at approximately 2:23 a.m., officers responded to the Mid-Town Mall, 890 Main Street, for a reported burglary. A passerby reported the front window of the Family Dollar store had been smashed out. Graffiti Suspects Charged

Sanford Police have charged the two suspects they believe are responsible for spraying graffiti on signs, fences, pavement and buildings in more than 30 locations across the city in the early hours of Monday, July 20. City property and private property alike were vandalized. In several locations graffiti was sprayed in multiple places.
