Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale had some special visitors on Friday. Sanford Resident to Star on “Naked and Afraid”

Sanford’s own Charlene “Cheeny” Plante will hit the screen April 10 as a participant in the Discovery Channel’s survival series Naked and Afraid. On the show, a man and woman who haven’t met before are left to survive in a wilderness location for 21 days without clothing, food or supplies. The Trafton Travelers had their first successful trip of the season, with a St. Patrick's Day party at the Danversport Yacht Club. Students in the SRTC Culinary Arts program are getting the seasoning just right for their Greek inspired soup. They have been using their soup making skills this month as part of the Lenten meals being served by the Knights of Columbus.
