Line Dancing starts back up on Wednesday, September 14.  Sanford Parks and Recreation Coordinator, Lori Hegarty, will be leading line dancing at the Memorial Gym, 678 Main St. Park on the right hand side of the building and in back of the building.  Dance from 10:45-11:45 Wednesday mornings.  Cost is just $2 each week you participate - pay supervisor on duty.  Plenty of room for social distancing.  If you have questions call Lori at 324-9130. Vouchers for Veterans: Maine military veterans can stop by the Sanford Farmers' Market any Saturday morning in September and receive a free voucher for $20 to spend at the Market as a thank you for your service. Veterans must show proof of service with an acceptable ID such as a DD214, active duty card, medical card from Veterans Services, etc., plus proof of residency. Sanford High School Class of 2022 graduates Grace Davie, Isabella Farrington and Olivia Martin have each been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Red Sox Foundation as 2022 New England Service Scholars. These awards are given to 100 students each year from all across New England who are making a meaningful impact in their local communities through service. Helping Hands: August 14, 2022

Wanda Parent and her volunteers at Stuff the Bus have been working all through the recent heat wave gathering school supplies for York County kids in need. Many, many local residents and businesses have participated, including Matthew H. and Ryan at Wireless Zone, who donated 150 backpacks, and Marc Motors which has donated 200 backpacks.
