Puppy Scam: The Sanford Police Department is warning residents of a Facebook scam involving puppies. A seller claims to have puppies for sale (presumably with adorable photos), a buyer sends money, and when they go to pick up the puppy, the person at that address is not selling puppies. The Sanford Farmers' Market's annual Pre-Thanksgiving Market will be held November 19, 2022, at Central Park from 8:00 am to noon. Two of the vendors, Sarah's Table and Bella's Greens, are offering pre-order for holiday items, which can be picked up at the Market. The annual Mingle Jingle 5K Run/Walk to benefit St. Thomas School was held November 5 with great weather for the event. 16-year-old Greggory Waterman of Acton finished in first place with a time of 19:23. 51-year-old Michael Leigh was the first Sanford resident to cross the finish line with a time of 19:51 (third overall). 53-year-old Laurie Gaudreau of Springvale was the women’s winner with a time of 20:20, which was fifth overall.
