Covid & Vaccine Update

The high-volume vaccination clinic in South Sanford officially opened this week. See related story. In his report to the City Council on Tuesday, City Manager Steven Buck said the clinic will begin vaccinating 240 to 360 people per day, increasing those numbers each week until reaching 960 people per day in April. The high-volume vaccine clinic at the former Marshall’s store officially opened today after weeks of anticipation. The opening ceremony was hosted by York County Manager Greg Zinser. Latest Covid-19 Stats & Vaccine Update

Sanford and Springvale saw a significant drop in new Covid-19 cases this week, with 16 in Sanford and 3 in Springvale, for a total of 19 cases in our community. Last week there were 57 new cases. Our cumulative total of Covid cases is 1,263 since the pandemic began almost a year ago (1,013 in Sanford and 250 in Springvale). New cases of Covid-19 continue to decline in Sanford and Springvale. The latest weekly update, with data as of February 7, shows 43 new cases of the virus in Sanford and 8 in Springvale, for a total of 51 new cases in our community.
