Press release from Maine.gov: The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) is investigating an outbreak of COVID-19 among individuals affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church in Sanford. At present, there are at least five confirmed cases of COVID-19 involving people affiliated with the church. The Covid-19 outbreak at the York County Jail in Alfred is now at 54 cases, of which 35 are inmates, 16 are corrections officers, 2 York County employees and 1 DHHS employee who works out of the building. Sanford Area Granted Additional $726K From Keep ME Healthy

At its August 4 meeting, the City Council voted to accept funding in the amount of $726,676 awarded under Round 2 of the Keep Maine Healthy 2020 Municipal Covid-19 Awareness Campaign. The funds are being granted by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services with money from the federal CARES Act.
