Council Tables Polling Place Consolidation

By Zendelle Bouchard At the November 8, 2023 City Council meeting, a public hearing was held on City Clerk Sue Cote’s proposal to consolidate Sanford and Springvale’s three wards in to one, and the three polling locations to one. 2023 Election Results: Incumbents Keep City Council Seats

Turnout was good for a year with no presidential or gubernatorial contest, with 27% of Sanford/Springvale’s 15,704 registered voters casting a ballot. On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Sanford and Springvale voters will go to the polls to cast ballots for City Council, School Committee, Water District Trustee and Sewerage District Trustee.
