School Committee Candidates: Paula T. Cote

At the November 3 election, Sanford and Springvale voters will elect two School Committee members to three-year terms. The three candidates are Paula T. Cote, Amy Turgeon Sevigny and incumbent Emily A. Sheffield. Kendra Williams is not seeking reelection. Paula T. Cote has lived in Maine over 25 years, and has raised her family here.  She has degrees from Florida State University and Middlebury College. Candidates for Mayor, City Council, School Committee, State Representative, State Senator and County Commissioner are being invited to participate. The event will be live streamed by WSSR-TV from the Performing Arts Center, and recorded for later viewing. Do you have a question you'd love to ask a candidate? Important Information About Absentee Voting

Our office has already taken more than 2,000 absentee ballot requests from registered voters who have requested them to be mailed. Election Preparations Underway

The City of Sanford is working hard to make sure the November 3 general election runs safely and smoothly. City Clerk Sue Cote met with the City Council's Public Safety Subcommittee on Tuesday, August 25 and gave them an update on procedural changes and preparations.
