Council Holds Public Hearing on Retail Marijuana Sales

A public hearing on proposed amendments to four chapters of the zoning ordinance, which would allow retail sales of adult-use cannabis (marijuana) in Sanford, was held at the City Council meeting March 15, 2022. Several of the proposed changes had not previously been discussed at a public meeting, including the fee schedule. Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport, and the Pilot's Cove Café restaurant located there, have both made great strides in the last few years, but even more growth and expansion is being planned.
