Ice cream lovers will be flocking to Springvale this Saturday and Sunday when Bowdini’s Ice Cream opens for Memorial Day weekend. The shop offers both walk-in and drive-thru service, and is located in the former Key Bank building at 471 Main St., right in the square. The shop will be open May 28 and 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The following weekend, Bowdini’s is planning a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, June 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., featuring a free show by magician and America’s Got Talent finalist Smoothini from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The shop will be open that Sunday as well.
Beginning Saturday, June 11, Bowdini’s will be open seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the rest of the summer.
The shop will offer a long list of ice cream flavors made by Blake’s Creamery, which has been crafting ice cream here in Northern New England for over a century. Flavors include all the traditional favorites like Maple Walnut and Mint Chocolate Chip, plus intriguing new ones like Black Raspberry Oreo and Dirty Water®, which combines Colombian coffee ice cream with chocolate cookie swirl and chocolate chips. Non-dairy, plant-based vanilla and chocolate are also on the menu. Visit https://www.bowdinisicecream.com/flavors to see the full list.
In addition to cones and cups of hard ice cream, Bowdini’s will also offer sundaes with a variety of toppings, banana splits, and frappes including The Ferdinand, which combines Red Bull with vanilla and cherry.
Bowdini’s is owned by Dan Bowden, who also owns Pilot’s Cove Café.
