The Sanford Art Association will return to the downtown on August 14, with their Art in the Park event at Gateway Park on Riverside Ave. This is the first event for the Association since the pandemic began. Local artists will have their original artworks for exhibit and sale, including paintings, photographs and pottery, as well as craft items. The sale will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The following artists will be participating:
St. George’s Episcopal Church will be having their Craft and Vendor Fair that day as well, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Church parking area on Emerson St. Crafter space is still available, contact Sara at saragoochy25@gmail.com for more information. More than a dozen crafters are signed up so far.
The rain date for both events is August 21. You can make a day of it with a stop by the Sanford Farmers’ Market at Central Park (from 8:00 to noon) and lunch at one of our downtown eateries.
