There were no arrests on Sunday, July 18. Several motor vehicle stops resulted in written warnings, while one driver got a ticket. Peace was restored following a disturbance on Main St. in Springvale, and officers twice dealt with reports of a violation of a protective order on Tebbetts Ave., among other calls that day.
In the wee hours of Monday, July 19, a 22-year-old Alfred resident was arrested and initially charged with burglary of a motor vehicle on Gerrish Dr. A few hours later, following a report of breaking and entering on Main St., the same suspect was further charged with a second count of burglary of a motor vehicle, plus aggravated criminal mischief, burglary, violating condition of release, and two outstanding warrants.
Later that day, a disturbance on Riverbank Ct. in Springvale led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Springvale resident on charges of terrorizing and criminal mischief. A summons was also issued after a motor vehicle stop on Main St.
On Tuesday, July 20, Sanford police assisted another agency as an arrest was made in Main St., no charges given. A shoplifting report on Main St. resulted in a 31-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for theft and violating condition of release.
Just after midnight on Wednesday, July 21, Sanford officers took a 23-year-old resident of East Baldwin into custody following a domestic disturbance on State St. The charges were domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing. That afternoon, a 52-year-old with no fixed address was summonsed for criminal trespass following a disturbance on Brook St.
On Thursday, July 22, Sanford police assisted another agency as an arrest was made on Main St., no details given. A motor vehicle accident on High St. resulted in a 51-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for operating after license suspension, and attaching false plates.
Friday, July 23, a 22-year-old Springvale resident was summonsed for criminal mischief after officers responded to a disturbance on Grove St. A 23-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for operating without a license following a motor vehicle accident on Cheney St. in Springvale.
On Saturday, July 24, a call to Riverside Ave. for violation of a protective order resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old with no fixed address on that charge. That evening, a disturbance on Roberts St. led to a 31-year-old resident of West Newfield being arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and criminal mischief.
