On Sunday, August 22, Sanford Police arrested a 36-year-old Sanford resident on an assault charge, after responding to a call on Washington St. Among other calls that day were two in Springvale, for vandalism and graffiti, and another vandalism call on River St.
Monday, August 23, there were no arrests. Several summonses were issued for motor vehicle stops on Main St., High St. and Cottage St. The Department responded to disturbances on Riverbank Ct. and Main St., and harassment calls to Hanson Ridge Rd., Dale St. and Central Ave., among other calls that day.
On Tuesday, August 24, Main St. and Lebanon St. were the primary areas of traffic enforcement, with several summonses issued. Disturbances on Oak St., Bridge St. and Pleasant St. in Springvale, and Island Ave. and Carver St. in Sanford were among the many calls Sanford officers dealt with that day.
Wednesday, August 25, a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Main and State Sts. resulted in a summons being issued to a 42-year-old Sanford resident for operating an unregistered vehicle. Calls that day included vandalism, drug incidents, shoplifting and sex offenses.
The traffic detail was out again on Thursday, August 26, with summonses issued on Cottage St., Main St. and Twombley Rd. Many warnings were issued as well. Several disturbances throughout the City kept officers busy. A report of a violation of protective order was also investigated.
In the early hours of Friday, August 27, Sanford officers responding to a domestic disturbance on Manor Circle took a 36-year-old Springvale resident into custody on a charge of domestic violence aggravated assault with extreme indifference. A disturbance on Mousam St. later that morning resulted in a 34-year-old Biddeford resident being arrested on a warrant. That afternoon, officers serving a warrant on Main St. took a 21-year-old Springvale resident into custody. That night, two units responded to a report of a burglary in progress on Mousam St.
On Saturday, August 28, another arrest was made while a warrant was being served on Main St., no details given. A disturbance on Emery St. resulted in a 39-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for assault and criminal threatening. A summons was also issued while Sanford Police assisted another agency to a call on June St., no details given. Motor vehicle stops on Country Club Rd. and Lebanon St. also resulted in summonses.
