There were no arrests or summonses on Sunday, August 15. Sanford Police, along with multiple units of the Fire Department/EMS, responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Cottage and Lafayette Sts.. The patient was transported to the hospital. The Department also responded to disturbances on Grammar St., Twombley Rd. and Ridgeway Ave., among other calls that day.
On Monday, August 16, a 38-year-old resident of New Durham, NH, was arrested for domestic violence assault with a prior, following a call to a Main St. address. A 32-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for terrorizing after Police were called to Hutchinson St. There were several summonses that day for motor vehicle violations on Cottage St.
Tuesday, August 17, officers responding to a domestic disturbance on River St. took a 39-year-old Sanford resident into custody on a charge of domestic violence assault. A disturbance on Main St. also resulted in an arrest, no details given. Main St. was the focus of the traffic detail that day, with nine summonses issued.
Wednesday, August 18, an arrest was made while Sanford Police assisted another agency at a Main St. address. No details were given. Officers responded to disturbances on Main St., and on Mill St. in Springvale (twice), among other calls that day. Several summonses were issued on traffic stops, with Lebanon St. being the primary area of enforcement.
There were no arrests made on Thursday, August 19. The Department was busy with numerous calls, including four domestic disturbances, multiple reports of larceny/forgery/fraud, harassment, assault, shoplifting and rape.
On Friday, the 20th, a motor vehicle stop on Water St. in Springvale led to a 31-year-old resident of Hollis Center being summonsed for operating with a suspended registration. Later that night, another motor vehicle stop, at the intersection of Main and Auburn Sts. in Springvale, resulted in two persons, ages 32 and 25, arrested on outstanding warrants. Both are residents of Shapleigh. Officers also responded to four motor vehicle accidents that day, along with many other calls.
Saturday, August 21, a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Shaw’s Ridge Rd. and Cottage St. resulted in two Springvale residents being placed under arrest. A 40-year-old was charged with violating condition of release, while a 38-year-old was charged with operating under the influence.
