A Fresh Look in Springvale Village

Historical Museum Gets Southern Exposure

Anyone driving down Main St. toward Springvale Village in the past few days has seen something they’ve never seen before – the south side of the Sanford-Springvale Historical Museum, pictured above. The house next door, which was in poor condition, was demolished this week. Historical Society President Harland Eastman said the property will be landscaped to provide a beautiful setting for the Museum. A few new parking spaces will also be added.

Chamber Office Relocating to Springvale Village

In spring of this year, the Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce will be relocating to Springvale!  The new office on Main St., pictured below, is directly across from the Historical Museum. In recent years it has been home to the Sanford Republican Committee.  The Chamber is pleased to be working with Jonathan Mapes, who is providing the space, and Gary Samia of Century 21 North East, the general contractor for the work being done to get the space ready. The Chamber will soon have a new office with maximum visibility and easy access. Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors Becca Lapierre, says “This stand-alone facility will offer an updated and welcoming space that our members can be proud of long into the future.”  Chamber President Rick Stanley, adds “The new location will be perfect for our organization with off street parking and highly visible for our members and year-round visitors.”

The Chamber looks forward to welcoming everyone into the new space in the next few months.
