November 2 Election Update

On November 2, Sanford/Springvale voters will elect two City Councilors, one School Committee member, and one Trustee each for the Sanford Water District and Sanford Sewerage District. The following candidates will be on the ballot:

City Council – vote for 2

  • Becky A. Brink
  • Victor E. DiGregorio
  • Ayn Hanselmann (incumbent)
  • Fred Smith
  • Michael W. Termath

School Committee – vote for 1

  • Jennifer M. Davie
  • Tonya Pickering

Trustee, Sanford Water District – vote for 1

  • Melissa S. Alipalo
  • John Cochin Jr. (incumbent)
  • Shawn B. Parker

Trustee, Sanford Sewerage District – vote for 1

  • Paul A. Demers (incumbent)

In-person absentee voting at City Hall is expected to begin October 4. The City Clerk’s office will be open additional hours to accommodate voters. The City of Sanford strongly recommends absentee voting due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the election is Thursday, October 28.
