Young Adult Fiction: Never After by Melissa De La Cruz: Filomena Jefferson-Cho goes from her hometown where nothing ever happens to being thrust into a world of fairies, and princesses, sorcerers, and slayers, where an evil queen is out to erase the fairy tribes. It’s up to Filomena to save the kingdom.
Children’s Picture Book: Madeline Finn and the Therapy Dog by Lisa Papp: Madeline Finn hopes Star can become a therapy dog. First, he needs to pass his test. Madeline and Star go to a retirement home where Star will take his test. There, they meet several challenges and make some new friends.
We also have our first in-person program next week. Matt Cost, author of Mainely Power, will be here on Thursday, July 29th at 6:00 pm. While we are normally closed on Thursdays, we will open for this special program. He is a Maine author and his book is one of our Maine Humanities Maine Mystery Grant selections.
