Beginning Friday, July 23, nomination papers will be available in the City Clerk’s office for the November 2 municipal election. The seats up for election are:
To file for elected office, you must be a registered voter, with your principal place of residence in the City. For City Council or School Committee seats, you must submit the signatures of 50 registered voters. For Trustee of Water District or Sewerage District, 25 signatures of registered voters are required. The deadline to file is Thursday, September 2 at 4:30 p.m.
There are no statewide offices up for election this year. There will be at least three statewide ballot questions. For more information on those, see Ballotpedia.
