Summer News Notes

The Shoreline Explorer trolleys, with service from York to Kennebunk, will begin running for the summer season on June 26. Take the Orange Line from the School St. parking lot in Sanford and explore the coast! The Shoreline Explorer will be fare-free all summer. Get more information at http://www.shorelineexplorer.com/.

Goodall Park will be open at full capacity for Sanford Mainers games this summer. Face coverings will not be required for those fully vaccinated. The season kicks off with a home game on Friday June 4 at 6:30 p.m. against the Winnipesaukee Muskrats. Gates open an hour early. Let’s play ball!

Registration is open now for Sanford Spartans Basketball clinics for boys and girls entering grades 3 to 8. Clinics will be taught by varsity coaches and players. Coach Paul Nolette will be offering Academy of Basketball half day camps at the Nasson Community Center all summer long. The camps are for grades 1-8, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Summer reading programs for kids and adults from the Goodall Library and Springvale Library begin June 21. Look for a future article with more details!

Chromebooks issued to Sanford High School seniors will be collected June 1. Any missing devices or chargers will be billed.  Seniors who don’t need their Chromebook any more this year may turn it in at the Tech Hub at any time from now on, but all devices must be turned in by June 1.
