The Sanford Fire Department would like to remind residents that a new burn permit is needed each day you have a fire, even in a covered or enclosed fire pit. Permits are quick and easy to obtain by going to wardensreport.com and filling out a short form. Mainefireweather.org will tell you at a glance what the fire danger is each day (updated daily at 9:00 a.m.).

Shop your winter blues away with the Local Vendor and Craft Sale on May 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 403 High St. in Sanford. This event is downscaled from previous years due to Covid guidelines, but a nice selection of items will be available.
