The Goodall Library has brand new snow sleds that can be checked out for a week at a time. Choose a kids’ downhill sled or a flying saucer. The Library also has jigsaw puzzles to check out. There are over 100 puzzles to choose from, ranging from 300 pieces to 1000.

If you’ve noticed a pink ribbon among the sea of white ribbons tied to the fence at the North Parish Church, it is in memory of Louise Knight, a church member who passed away from Covid-19 on January 4. The white ribbons represent all the other Maine residents lost to Covid since the pandemic began.

Pittie Posse’s Pet Pantry is a food pantry that supports people’s pets. They provide dog and cat food, treats, toys, litter and puppy pads for free to those in need. Pets must be compliant with State laws. They will be at the York County Food Pantry, 5 Swett’s Bridge Rd. in Alfred, every Friday in February from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Ginnie Drouin is the new Library Assistant at the Springvale Library. She is a retired school principal, and will be heading up a new Tuesday night book group. Welcome Ginnie!
