City Council

Incumbents Ayn Hanselmann and Nate Hitchcock will return to the City Council for three-year terms after fending off challenges from Joe Hanslip and Victor DiGregorio.

School Committee

Two newcomers will be joining the School Committee in January, as Lisa Blanchette bested Emily Sheffield for the three-year term with 52.2% of the vote. Incumbent Jen Davie opted not to run for re-election.

Jonathan D. Stimmell ran unopposed to fill the remaining one year left on the three-year term that Kelly Termath won in 2022 (Sheffield served the second year of this term after Termath’s resignation but chose to run this time for the three-year seat instead.)

Utility Boards

Jonathan Hamilton will serve a three-year term on the Sanford Water District Board of Trustees, after a win over incumbent Brian Samia in a very tight race.

On the Sanford Sewerage District Board of Trustees, incumbent Paul Demers was elected to another three-year term, while incumbent Kevin Eaton was elected to fill the remaining two years on an unexpired term. Both men ran unopposed.
