Sanford and Springvale hit another record for new cases of Covid-19 this week. With data as of December 6, there were 46 new cases in Sanford and 8 in Springvale, for a total of 54 new cases in our community in just one week.
The cumulative total of cases now stands at 286 in Sanford and 78 in Springvale, for a combined total of 364.
As of December 7, the Newton Center outbreak had infected 37 residents and 22 staff members. A second outbreak has also occurred at The Baker Company, which was the site of an outbreak in October.
There are now 802 active cases of Covid-19 in York County, as of December 9.
