The Sanford Arts Commission is envisioning the establishment of an Artist Co-Op in the Springvale-Sanford area and is inviting local artists to share their needs, interests, and ideas for this creative community.
The Commission actively seeks feedback from local artists to shape the project. The overarching concept involves acquiring a building that could house a large, open co-working space alongside smaller to larger personal studio spaces, catering to a diverse array of artists in curating their artwork. The Co-Op would offer monthly rentals, with the possibility of day passes depending on space availability. Additionally, amenities and tools would be provided to renters/members, with the potential inclusion of an art gallery depending on space constraints.
If you’re an artist in the Springvale-Sanford area (or surrounding regions), the Sanford Arts Commission encourages you to participate in their survey to voice your needs. And if you know any artists, please share this opportunity with them: https://bit.ly/Sanford-artist-coop
