Marjorie L Herald passed away on March 24, 2024, Palm Sunday, at the age of 75, after a long 6-year journey with Alzheimer’s. She was born Marjorie L Paré on July 1, 1948, to Arthur and Edith Paré residing in Peabody, MA until she married Curtis R Herald in November 1965. They would move to Lebanon, ME in 1980 where they built their home on the lake and lived there for 26 years. They moved to Sanford in 2006 where they built another home. Marjorie loved gardening and each home had beautiful gardens. She mostly worked in health care throughout her life, having a special love for the elderly. She retired after a career at Waban Projects, Inc. providing loving care to the residents. She is survived by her husband Curtis R. Dennis Edward Lantagne, 76, of Sanford died peacefully at Gosnell Memorial House Hospice in Scarborough on March 26. 2024. He was born on August 5, 1947, in Sanford to Lugger and Aurora (Fontaine) Lantagne. He retired from Nissen Bakery in Biddeford in 1991. Dennis was married to Maria Bartoli and together they made their home in Sanford. Dennis enjoyed spontaneous drives to the mountains and spending summers in New Hampshire. He was a member of the Waltham Elks in Massachusetts. Dennis also loved the NY Yankees, Red Sox, and the NE Patriots. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria, son Bryan Lantagne of MA, brother Robert Lantagne (Louise) of Springvale; and sister Cora St. Pierre (Donald) of MA. and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6 at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Sanford. Paul Arthur Morin, 64, formerly of Sanford, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Kennebunk Center for Health and Rehabilitation after a long illness. Paul was born in Sanford, March 10, 1960, the son of Henry and Annette (Drouin) Morin. He grew up in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School in 1979. He went on to attend the University of New Hampshire. Unfortunately, permanent damage from a brain tumor prevented him from seeking employment. Paul married Linda Henry in 1987 and they shared 19 years of marriage until her death in 2007. Paul was a quiet man who enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Paul could be found at Bonanza Steak House having lunch with friends. He enjoyed watching TV, especially “The Curse of Oak Island,” and cheering for the Patriots. Mr. Morin was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Annette, as well as his brother Raymond Morin. He is survived by his niece, Donna Ouellette and her husband David as well as several cousins. A graveside service will be held at the St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford on Friday, April 19 at 1 pm. https://blackfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/paul-morin.
David E. Spulick, 64 years old, a resident of Lebanon, ME, passed away at Maine Medical Center in Portland, with his family by his side. David was born July 27, 1959, in Sanford, the son of George Everett and Dorothy Irene (Gay) Spulick. He was a graduate of Sanford High School, class of 1979, and went on to get an associate degree at MacIntosh College several years later. After graduating, he worked in the accounting department at Hilltop Chevrolet in Somersworth, NH for several years, and then worked as a machinist and at several manufacturing shops in the area, including Pratt and Whitney in North Berwick. David was kind and a hard worker who loved to help family and friends. He loved taking walks on the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, saying hello to everyone he walked by. He enjoyed feeding the birds and talked to them while feeding them. David was predeceased by his parents and leaves behind his loving wife Anita Spulick; his daughter Allie Dube of Sanford; two sons, Jeremy and Jonathan Spulick, a sister, Debbie Pelletier and her significant other, Joe Werber of Kennebunk; a brother, Doug (Jody) Spulick of Sanford, 6 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren, and a large extended family. Visiting hours will be held from 1-3PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Bibber Memorial at Autumn Green Funeral Home.
