Bowl-a-Rama’s hours have changed. Check out the new hours here. Bowling on Friday, Saturday and Sunday is now by reservation only. Call 324-2401 to reserve your time for some candlepin fun!

The Sanford Water District flushes its water mains twice a year to clear any build up of iron in the mains. The flushing is done between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. to minimize any inconvenience caused by off color water. The fall flushing begins tonight, and will continue into November. When your neighborhood is scheduled for flushing, it will be listed on this page.

The Water District also announced this week that their water supply, which comes from large underground aquifers, is in good shape despite the drought, and that customers should feel free to utilize water as normal. No restrictions are in place and none are anticipated.

Another Chance Animal Rescue is in desperate need of non-clumping cat litter. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter any day between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. If nobody is inside, please leave the bags between the doors. The Crossroads United Methodist Church has resumed in-person worship. Seating is limited and face masks are required at all times in the building. The Church will continue to offer “At Home” worship as well. Contact Pastor Steve at gmstevemacleod@netscape.net for more info.

The Goodall Library will host “Mindfulness in Uncertain Times: a Virtual Series” beginning October 8 on Zoom. Each Thursday morning for four weeks in October the series will explore a different aspect of mindfulness practice. Each session will build on the last and include meditation, mindfulness instruction, time for questions and ideas for practicing between sessions. Come to all four sessions or just one.
