Kick-Off for Winterfest week will be Sat. Feb. 17 from 9 am-Noon with fun in the Sanford Memorial Gym, free for kids 7th grade and younger. They’ll have a giant obstacle course and a Frozen moon bounce inside the gym. Also, on Feb. 17 from 9 am-Noon will be Toddle Time for 5 and under in the lower Café. On the same day there will be a fun scavenger hunt on Mousam Trail. Parents must accompany.
During the week, there’s bowling at Bowl-A-Rama from 12-2 pm Monday through Saturday. Reservations are suggested, so call 324-2401. $15 includes your bowling shoes, a slice of pizza, and a soda. Open Gym for kids will be held from 2-3:30 pm both Monday and Thursday. Bring your own wheels or shoot some hoops, play with jump ropes, play ball, and more. Parents must stay and can play too if they feel like it. Free to all. Bounce Fun Friday is from 2-3 pm at the Memorial Gym. Parents must stay with their youngsters to supervise. Parents, feel free to try the obstacle course.
A special event will include a Demonstration by Rebel, the police K9 dog. Details are still being worked out. Please check Sanford Rec for info. Vacation Camp runs Monday through Friday. The cost is $150.00 per camper. You must register your camper at sanfordrec.com for Vacation Camp. The Ice Fishing Derby has been canceled due to lack of safe ice on Number 1 Pond.
