A new flight school, BDF Air, is coming to the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport. The school will offer training and certification to pilots who want to fly multi-engine aircraft. The company’s Beechcraft Duchess plane will be housed in the former city hangar. Airport Manager Allison Navia told the City Council’s Property Subcommittee on Tuesday that BDF Air will fit in well with the Airport’s other offerings. A five-year operating rights agreement, with optional five-year extension, has been approved.
Ms. Navia also reported that Skydive Coastal Maine and Pilot’s Cove Café both had record days on Saturday. Business is booming at the airport!
