David Erickson of Sanford, veteran, loving husband, father and grandfather, died on Nov. 7, 2023, at SMHC in Biddeford. Born on June 22, 1963, in Portland, David grew up in Buxton and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School. He entered the Army out of high school and went on to be a combat veteran who would earn a Bronze Star. He was seriously wounded while serving in Operation Desert Storm and spent many months recuperating at Walter Reed Hospital. After the service, David would go on to earn a business degree and and to use the skills gained to be successful in many managerial positions.  A skilled woodworker and great cook, he loved to help at North Parish Church suppers for those in need. He married Tirzah Beattie, his soulmate, and together they raised two children, Amanda and Matthew. He and Tirzah and children spent many years camping with family and friends, building memories for a lifetime. He leaves a large family of siblings and their families. A memorial service was held at North Parish Church on Thursday, Nov. 16, with interment and full military honors at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale. Read his full obituary here. 

Nancy Ann Dominy, 81, of Sanford, died on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at Summer Commons in Sanford. She was born on April 25, 1942, to Lawrence and Cecile Dominy in Springvale,  where she grew up and attended local Catholic schools, graduating from St. Ignatius High School. Nancy was a devout Catholic and was a 35-year member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the Maine Ataxia group. She always had a smile on her face, loved people, read her Bible every day and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Nancy was predeceased by her parents and by two sisters, Patricia Dominy and Jenny Paradis. Surviving are her sister, Sally McKay; her nephew, Marcel Paradis; her niece, Jennifer English and her husband Michael; her great-niece and nephew Phoebe and Jack English and her adopted sister, Debbie Johnson. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, on North Avenue in Sanford. Read her full obituary here.
