The names of eight former Sanford residents are etched in the traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that will be on display in Sanford beginning Sept. 7, according to the Sanford Springvale Fallen Veterans Project.
The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica that will be on display on Route 109, South Sanford, in the field across from Walmart. It will be available for viewing twenty-four hours a day beginning Thursday, Sept. 7 until closing on Sunday, Sept. 10 in the afternoon. Admission is free. The exhibit is being hosted by the Sanford Elks and local veterans’ service organizations.
