People Around Town: July 28, 2022

The Sanford High School Class of 1972 held its 50th reunion at McDougal Orchards on July 22, with more than fifty classmates in attendance.


Sam Sevigny of 7E Properties is pictured below, hard at work in last week’s heat, landscaping the newly expanded and improved grounds at the Sanford-Springvale Historical Museum. The Historical Society is grateful to 7E Properties for their hard work on this project.


On Monday, July 25, Sanford Fire Department’s Engine 1 was dispatched to provide assistance for a dog stuck between a wood pile and a house. Upon arrival FF/EMT Chris Gay of D-shift managed to make his way through a confined area towards the dog’s location and retrieve Sophie for the home owners.


Jeff and Sharon Kostis and their twins Kevin and Madelyn have been selected by the Knights of Columbus, St. Thomas Council, as their family of the month for July. Read more about them here.


Members of the Sanford Police Department recently completed the Maine ATV Safety and Conservation program, which will allow officers to patrol Sanford/Springvale trails system and provide access to areas otherwise inaccessible to police vehicles.
