Vacation Camp: Want to keep the kids busy all week? Vacation Camp at Memorial Gym is packed with fun and safe activities for kids in grades K-8. The cost is $100 for the whole week and includes a field trip every day. The program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Get more info and sign up at sanfordrec.com.
Rock N’ Glo Bowl: At the Bowl-a-Rama, from noon to 2:00 p.m., every day through April 23. Enjoy two hours of Glo Bowling, shoes, a slice of pizza and a soda for just $12. Call 324-2401 to reserve your spot.
Ice Cream: Shain’s of Maine is offering ice cream for a buck all week – just tell ’em “The Ice Cream Man Sent Me” and get a small cone or sandwich cookie for just $1. Open til 8:00 p.m.
Disc Golf: Have you ever wondered what the metal contraptions are in the middle of Gowen Park? Well, now is your chance to find out! Meet up at 10:30 in the Park and learn how to play disc golf. It’s fun, it’s easy, and the discs are provided. You can also bring a Frisbee from home. See you at Gowen!
Free Bike Hike: Starting from the Memorial Gym parking lot (behind the Gym), the Bike Hike will be from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. and is a 3 mile easy trail – good for single geared bikes – NO Training Wheels. We will be biking the Mousam Trail, so no worries about traffic. 4th-8th Graders welcome – parents can join too or stay and play in the parking lot or playground with the little ones. Helmets a must! Bring a water bottle. No Registration required – just show up with your bike. Kids 4th-8th grades are welcome so bring a friend or two.
SNAG Golf Clinic for 6-8 year olds: at Memorial Gym from 9:30-10:15 a.m. $10 per child, registration required at sanfordrec.com.
Line Dancing: All ages welcome, 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Memorial Gym. Pay $2 to the attendant.
Mountain View Mini Golf and Adventure: Mini golf and buckets of range balls are half price Wednesday-Friday.
Fishing at Number One Pond: Parents, bring your kids 15 and younger from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Bring your poles and fresh worms from the garden, too. Door prizes for everyone!
Nerf Gun Fun: Free for kids in grades 3-8, 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Gym. They will have ammo, so please don’t bring any, but do bring your Nerf/Air guns , eye protection and water bottle.
Bounce / Obstacle Course: Memorial Gym, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The bounce house is for kids in PreK-2nd grade, and obstacle course for kids in grades 3-8. Cost is $5 per kid, maximum $20/family.
