Library Corner: Springvale

LL Bean has generously donated six pairs of snowshoes to our ever-gowning Library of Things.  When flurries fly, come and check out a pair to enjoy the outdoors.  We have two children, two youth, and two adult pairs to lend!

Our Holiday Tea was a great success with 63 attendees enjoying some winter refreshment on the patio.

• Children’s Picture book: Out of Nowhere by Chris Naylor-Ballesteros. A beetle and a caterpillar have a peaceful, daily picnic as part of their friendship routine. One day the caterpillar does not show up and the beetle goes to extraordinary lengths to find her.  Written from the point of view of the beetle and done in black and white illustrations with only a small patch of red for the caterpillar turn chrysalis turn butterfly, young readers will want to help beetle find his friend.
