On Sunday, September 12, Sanford Police, responding to a shoplifting call on Main St. at 3:28 a.m., summonsed a 22-year-old Springvale resident for theft and criminal trespass. That night, a disturbance on Main St. led to the arrest of a 17-year-old juvenile for refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and assault on an officer.
Monday, September 13, there were no arrests or summonses. Among the many calls that day, were a stolen vehicle on St. Ignatius St., animal complaints on Quiet Ln. and Smith Rd., a juvenile runaway on North Ave., and a sex offender registration.
A disturbance on Dale St. on Tuesday, September 14, resulted in a 58-year-old Sanford resident being taken into custody for domestic violence assault. Later that night, an officer responding to a motor vehicle accident at High St. and Alfred Rd. arrested a 63-year-old Kennebunk resident for operating under the influence.
Wednesday, September 15, a summons was issued to a 22-year-old Sanford resident for violation of a protective order. A summons was also issued to a 32-year-old Sanford resident for theft, following a shoplifting call to Main St.
On Thursday, September 16, there were no arrests or summonses, but the Department was busy as always. Among the calls that day were a burglary of a motor vehicle on Payne St. in Springvale, a juvenile runaway on Pioneer Ave., a drug incident on Seneca Ave., and an animal complaint on Bates St.
Friday, September 17, an officer responding to June St. summonsed a 24-year-old Springvale resident for an assault on an emergency medical care provider. A disturbance on Gerrish Dr. resulted in a 61-year-old Sanford resident being arrested for criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, and violating condition of release. A 49-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for an assault on Amherst St.
On Saturday, September 18, there were no arrests or summonses. Among the calls that day were an emotionally disturbed person on High St., and an intoxicated or incapacitated person on Weaver Dr.
