Early education program for young children: The Play and Learn series, a free six-week program from the Sanford School Department, will be offered again this year. The program gives children aged 0 to 4 years and their caregivers an opportunity to learn, play, and build connections each week. FMI about upcoming sessions, complete the interest survey.
Elks scholarship opportunity available: Applications for the 2025 Legacy Awards from the Elks National Foundation are now available. The $4,000 scholarships present an opportunity to join a nationwide community of Elks scholars. A high school senior who is the child or grandchild of a dues-paying Elk can submit an application. A chance to make memories abroad: Planning for the Travel Abroad Program’s trip for Sanford High School’s Class of 2026 is underway. An informational meeting for parents and guardians of those interested in traveling will be held on Sept. 23 at 6 pm in the Sanford Performing Arts Center.
