Arrests & Summonses: July 1-15, 2022

Friday, July 1: A 58-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for assault on Main St. Following a shoplifting call to Main St., a 48-year-old Wells resident was taken into custody on a warrant, with the additional theft charge. Two juveniles, aged 14 an 15, were summonsed for shoplifting in a separate Main St. incident.

Saturday, July 2: A shoplifting call just after noon on Main St. led to a 30-year-old resident of Rochester, NH, being taken into custody on two outstanding warrants, being a fugitive from justice, and two theft charges.

Sunday, July 3: A disturbance on Adams St. led to a 47-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for terrorizing.

Monday, July 4: A 29-year-old Sanford resident was stopped at the intersection of Emerson and Main Sts. and summonsed for speeding 30+ mph over the limit, and violating condition of release.

Tuesday: July 5: A 40-year-old Sanford resident was taken into custody on Main St., on a warrant, and charged with failure to appear in court. Following a motor vehicle stop at High and Spruce Sts., a 44-year-old Sanford resident was summonsed for operating after suspension. An arrest was made on Trafton St. while Sanford Police were assisting another agency, no details given.

Wednesday, July 6: A 49-year-old Alfred resident was summonsed for operating after suspension, following a motor vehicle stop at Grammar St. and Grammar Rd. A report of shoplifting on Main St. resulted in a 43-year-old Lebanon resident being summonsed for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Thursday, July 7: A 26-year-old resident of New Durham, NH, was summonsed for shoplifting and violating conditions of release, following a Main St. call.

Friday, July 8: An arrest was made while assisting another agency on Oak St. in Sanford, no details given. A domestic disturbance on Twombley Rd. resulted in a 27-year-old Sanford resident being taken into custody on a warrant, with additional charges of refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and violating condition of release. A report of terrorizing/threatening on Main St. led to a 49-year-old Auburn resident being arrested on two counts of violating condition of release, as well as indecent conduct.

Monday, July 11: Two juveniles, aged 13 and 15, were summonsed for assault, following a report on Roberts St. A 15-year-old juvenile was summonsed for being a minor consuming liquor, following a disturbance in Main St.

Tuesday, July 12: Sanford Police responding to a disturbance on Brook St. took a 41-year-old resident of Morrill, ME, into custody for violating probation.

Wednesday, July 13: A report of an assault on Terry Dr. resulted in a 22-year-old Sanford resident being arrested for domestic violence assault.

Thursday, July 14: A 51-year-old resident of Biddeford, described as transient, was summonsed for aggravated criminal mischief following a report of vandalism on Main St. A 33-year-old resident of Dover, NH was summonsed for assault following a call to Kilby St. Officers responding to a disturbance at Harvard and High Sts. took a 59-year-old Sanford resident into custody on charges of aggravated reckless conduct and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. Following a motor vehicle stop at Main and Roberts Sts., a 28-year-old Sanford resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant, with an additional charge of operating without a license.

Friday, July 15: A motor vehicle stop on Main St. led to a 32-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for operating under the influence with a prior. A 25-year-old Sanford resident was arrested for operating under the influence following a motor vehicle accident on Main St. A 58-year-old Biddeford resident was summonsed for criminal mischief after officers responded to a disturbance on Main St.  

Additionally, there were several civil summonses issued on motor vehicle stops, and summonses served, which are not included here.
