Our biggest news is, of course, our 2nd Annual Online Auction. We have 170 items worth over $14,000. Bidding begins Friday April 8 and goes through until the following Sunday, April 17. Some of the wonderful items we have up for bid are:

  • Original artworks by John Burr, Moe Auger and Bruce McMillan
  • Gift certificates to local restaurants including Oak St. Bistro, Lord’s Clam Box, Mee D Thai, El Mexicano and many more
  • Fabulous gift baskets and swag bags
  • A pop-up greenhouse
  • A fire pit with two chairs
  • Handmade quilts
  • An Apple CSA share from McDougal Orchards
  • Tickets for a family of four to this year’s Maine Renaissance Fair
  • A Memorial Day weekend vacation at a cozy cottage on Moody Beach
  • Personal training sessions at the SMHC Sports Performance Center
  • A scenic flight for three from Southern Maine Aviation
  • and much, much more!

We are also raffling off a kayak donated by H.A. Mapes so make sure you add some raffle tickets to your bidding.

Our summer yard games and birding/nature/animal back packs are available to check out. We already have bookings for the pressure washer for May and we’ll be adding more items to our Library of Things this summer.

Children’s In person Programs April 4- May 13, 2022
All programs will be meeting in the children’s room when the library is open.

  • Baby Rhyme Time -Mondays at 10:00 am.   This is a 20 minute time of rhymes, board books and shakers for children from birth to age 2. 
  • Lego Builders – Mondays at 3:30 pm. Come build the theme of the week with our Legos and display them in the children’s room.  For ages 5-13
  • Story Time – Fridays at 10:00 am. 

Homeschool Meet up

  • Thursday, April 14 at 10:30 am – Library Scavenger Hunt
  • Thursday, May 19 at 10:30 am – Slime Workshop.

Children’s book – The Runaway No-Wheeler by Peter Stein
