On Sunday, February 27, Sanford Police were called to an assault in progress on Main St. EMS personnel also responded. A report was taken but no arrests were made. A violation of a protective order on Patriots Ln. was investigated. The Department responded to four motor vehicle accidents that day, one on Lebanon St., one on Mt. Hope Rd. and two on Main St.
Monday, February 28, an arrest was made while an officer was serving a warrant on Alumni Blvd., no details given. Other incidents that day included a disturbance on Timber Ridge Ave. and a violation of protective order on West St.
On Tuesday, March 1, a 28-year-old Sanford resident was taken into custody on charges of unlawful sexual contact and refusal to sign a summons. Other calls that day included a drug incident on Main St. and terrorizing/threatening on Alumni Blvd.
Wednesday, March 2, a number of disturbance calls – on Riverside Ave., Booth St., North Ave., Main St. and Western Ave. – kept officers busy. Two reports of sex offenses were taken. A juvenile runaway was among the other calls that day.
On Thursday, March 3, there were no arrests or summonses. Among the calls that day were a drug incident on Vaness St. and terrorizing/threatening on Emery St. Officers made fifteen motor vehicle stops and responded to two accidents.
Friday, March 4, there were 35 motor vehicle stops made. Other calls that day included a domestic disturbance on Oxford St. and a report of harassment on Rankin St. Services were rendered to an intoxicated/incapacitated person on Main St.
On Saturday, March 5, a motor vehicle accident on Integrity Dr. resulted in a 73-year-old Sanford resident being arrested with operating under the influence with a prior, and operating after suspension. A burglary of a motor vehicle was reported on Hope St. Officers investigated domestic disturbances on Patriots Ln. and North St.
