On Sunday, February 20, there were no arrests or summonses. Among the calls Sanford officers responded to that day were a report of a rape, an assault on Western Ave., a disturbance on June St. and a motor vehicle accident on Thompson St.
Monday, February 21, a 29-year-old Waterboro resident was summonsed for operating after license suspension following a motor vehicle stop at Emery St. and Pioneer Ave. A motor vehicle stop on Jagger Mill Rd. led to a 31-year-old Sanford resident being summonsed for operating after suspension with a prior (not OUI). A stolen vehicle on High St., a drug incident on Church St., two juvenile runaways and 21 additional motor vehicle stops were among the Department’s other activities that day.
On Tuesday, February 22, a motor vehicle stop on Mai St. resulted in a 36-year-old Acton resident being summonsed for violating condition of release and operating without a license. Domestic disturbances on Barbara St. and Rankin St. (twice), as well as two sex offender registrations were among the other calls that day.
Wednesday, February 23, one of the 18 motor vehicle stops that day resulted in a summons to a 28-year-old Springvale resident for operating with a suspended registration. Other calls that day included a shoplifting call on Main St., domestic disturbances on Airport Rd. and Twombley Rd., and four animal complaints.
On Thursday, February 24, officers were called to a domestic disturbance on High St. and Alfred Rd., where they took a 73-year-old Sanford resident into custody on a domestic violence assault charge. Later that day, a 32-year-old Springvale resident was arrested on Main St. on charges of domestic violence assault, domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal mischief, violating a protection order and theft. Three shoplifting calls and two motor vehicle accidents were among the other incidents that day.
On Friday, February 25, peace was restored following a domestic disturbance on Sam Allen Rd. A report of harassment by phone on Main St., and a drug incident at Payne and Harris Sts. in Springvale were among the other calls officers responded to.
Saturday, February 26, three motor vehicle accidents kept officers busy. The crashes occurred on Main St., on Smada Dr., and at the intersection of Jagger Mill Rd. and Alfred Rd. Disturbances on Main St., Rilder St. and Elm St. were among the other calls that day.
