Certified Child Safety Seat Technicians with the Sanford Police Department will be holding a Safety Seat Inspection Event at the Sanford-Springvale YMCA on November 20th from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Parents, caregivers, grandparents or anyone else who may have a child safety seat is welcome to attend. Please bring your vehicle, safety seat, and child with you so that technicians can make sure seats are properly installed, compatible with your vehicle, and appropriate for your child.
Certain families qualify for a free distribution safety seat and they will have several on hand. However, if you believe you qualify for a free safety seat please call the number below prior to the event, as certain restrictions do apply. For a distribution seat you must be able to show proof of Maine residency (License, ID, Tribal ID, Refuge I-94 Letter with photograph, or high school ID with photo) and provide one of the following: WIC Folder, TANF Letter, SNAP letter, MaineCare Letter, Foster Family ID.
